8th Day of Yule

Today is the 8th Day of Yule!

Community is hugely important. A strong community is made up of worthy individuals.

We strive in all things to build fame. Fame in the sense of a good and powerful reputation. We are known by our deeds. We want to make our ancestors proud, we want to give our descendants something to aspire to and celebrate and we want to make our holy gods proud of us.

We owe it to our family and our folk to be the very best we can be. The road to our best selves begins with and is sustained by small steps each day. We must make sure that tomorrow we are at least a little better than we are today. In 2025, let's see how much we can improve our selves and our lives by this time next year.

The great task before us all is to close the gap between who we are today and the man/woman we ought to be, to come ever closer to our potential (our óðr-self).
