Poem to Gefjon
See, light making it back
Snow covering all
Yet in houses large and small
The planning for summer has begun
Ideas bright and big
Ambitions and bars set high
‘‘Bring out the tools! Bring them forth’’
The families now sing
Hammer, pen, seeds, dreams
Yes, some even bring plows
Oh Lady with oxen so strong
You who King Gylfi gifted land
See our gifts brought forth
Intent and power, poured into horn
We ask you bless our tools
A gift for a gift
Charm our plows, Landchurner!
May we inflict our will.
Hail Gefjon!
