In the month of March, we honor the conquering dawn goddess of our Folk, Austra (Ostara/Easter). Austra's cleansing light is unstoppable. Rising in the east, her radiance spreads across land and sea, darkness flees from her presence. Spring is a time for cleansing and renewal. Now is an auspicious time to clean your home, clean your heart, and clean your mind. Cast out that which is clutter, that which is dark and that which is unworthy of pride. We all build up grudges, resentments, bad habits, things which distract us, and things which drag us down hindering our ascend. Cleanse yourself of all that is unworthy and useless. Reach up towards your highest potential. Greet the dawning of spring unburdened and with a heart of joy!
I am eager to see you all at Þórshof as we honor our dawn goddess. This is always such a great event and our Þórshof Folk are truly some of our very best. Wherever you are, as the season turns, honor Austra with your Folk and with your family. Take the time to let the light in and embrace the spring refreshed.
